Keep your Head About You - Stay Mentally Sharp, Healthy and Look Good Too

There is an old Rudyard Kipling poem that begins: “If you can keep your head about you when those around you are losing theirs and blaming it on you…”

We all want to stay looking sharp and thinking clearly as we get older. Maintaining soft skin and a full head of hair, while also staying mentally sharp is important.

Two of our greatest fears as we get older are:
-loss of health or physical fitness
-loss of mental function

…because both abilities are needed to avoid loss of independence and ability to manage and do things for ourselves. We all want to look good and feel good physically as we get older, also staying mentally “with it” and coordinated.

Good news: Medical research studies have shown that DHEA helps neuronal cells to regenerate, and boost cognitive function as measured by memory, mood and visuospatial awareness.1,2 Twist 25 users report that one of the benefits they noticed was their hair was growing faster and fuller, and their skin felt soft and well hydrated. Because DHEA is a precursor for hormones, it helps connective tissue formation and also is a base for sebum (skin oil).

So keep your health strong, and your mind sharp while also maintaining healthy hair, skin and nails using Twist 25 DHEA cream every day after age 35.

Science shows DHEA allows deep sleep – Good Sleep = Good Health

More than half of adults in America say they do not sleep soundly at night. Many cannot fall asleep; some wake during the night and toss and turn, unable to go back to sleep. As a consequence, they do not get adequate REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, which is the deepest of the five levels of sleep during which we dream and many of the regenerating functions of sleep occur.

Sleep is very important in determining not only how rested we feel but, as a result, mood, mental sharpness, productivity, and health improve–if we sleep well. Our sense of well being, mood and energy depend upon whether we get deep sleep at night. It is well known that people that do not sleep well are at a much greater risk of developing high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, obesity and type 2 diabetes.

Health experts suggest that adults should sleep 8 hours per night.

So many choices …
There are a number of sleep aids on the market: sleeping pills, special beds and pillows, machines that make background noise conducive to sleep, continuous positive air propulsion (CPAP) systems, breathe right strips and mouth pieces to help people sleep better at night.

Research shows DHEA improves deep (REM) sleep.
Medical research done by Dr. E. Friess and others shows that “DHEA administration induced a significant (P<0.05) increase in rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, whereas all other sleep variables remained unchanged compared with placebo condition.”

So, if DHEA improves REM sleep, helps reduce abdominal fat, improves cardiovascular health, increases bone strength, and supports the immune system, how should one use DHEA? Important question. Read on …

DHEA must be provided to the body the right way to allow the benefits it can provide to occur.

DHEA must be provided to the body the right way  as a bioidentical cream applied on the skin and absorbed in the skin. A properly made, pharmaceutical grade, bioidentical DHEA cream absorbed in the skin works best.

Go natural.
The reason that supplementing DHEA in the skin works so well (as opposed to taking a pill), is that DHEA is actually metabolized in the skin. DHEA is what the body makes naturally, applied where the body makes and uses it naturally.

Oral DHEA supplements are largely eliminated by the liver, and what little DHEA does enter the bloodstream is DHEA sulfate (DHEA-S) rather than free DHEA. DHEA-S is not bad. It’s just not near as beneficial as free DHEA. Since a lot of DHEA is processed by the body in the skin naturally, DHEA applied on the skin—in a specially made cream called Twist 25—is what the body uses, applied where the body uses it

Twist 25 DHEA Cream is bioidentical DHEA cream in a specially formulated coconut oil cream. Twist 25 is beneficial in many ways for people 35 and up. Twist 25 cream is laboratory tested and has no dangerous side effects.

So, if you are over the age of 35, start using Twist 25 DHEA cream. Sleep deeper at night and enjoy the many other benefits the cream provides. Sweet dreams!

Reduce Abdominal Fat

You know that padded area on both sides of your belly button that just won’t go away even when you diet and exercise? Well, most of us do; and every year we get older it seems to keep getting even bigger and harder to control. Yes, it can be frustrating when you eat healthy, exercise and do everything right, and yet that belly fat pad still just won’t go away.

Well, there is some medical research giving us a lot of new information that makes sense…and might just give us a new advantage. Part of what determines whether we store energy consumed as fat instead of burning it as fuel depends on our metabolism which is driven by our hormones.  Makes sense, right? it is common knowledge that hormones are the chemical messengers that tell the body what to do.  How energetic people feel, their mood, their muscle tone, their sex drive, sharpness of mind, softness of skin, how well we sleep at night…and, yes, how efficiently the body functions to either burn energy or store it away as fat.

According to a study performed at Washington University School of Medicine published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), “DHEA has been shown to reduce both visceral and subcutaneous fat in men and women.” The physicians conducting the study determined that a higher DHEA level was associated with improved insulin sensitivity.
How Does DHEA Work?

From birth to about age 25, humans (men and women alike) produce more and more DHEA.  DHEA, is a prohormone that is produced in the adrenal glands, gonads and the dermis. It is a carbon chain precursor or prohormone to male androgens as well as female sex hormones, like the estrogens.

Below is a graph of DHEA levels over the human lifespan.
The pink line indicates slightly improved DHEA levels that might be possible if one were to augment or boost DHEA availability over the human lifespan, to perhaps gain great benefits in staving off diseases caused by gradually declining hormones.

DHEA applied as a skin cream simply provides something the body makes in the dermis, DHEA, where it occurs naturally and is metabolized naturally. The bioavailability for beneficial effects is much greater when DHEA is used as a cream instead of a pill.  DHEA pills are largely eliminated by the first pass effect of the liver. Twist 25 DHEA cream is bioidentical DHEA in a carefully made coconut oil base cream.

While DHEA does not provide a miracle cure for losing belly fat, it certainly may help, according to the research. Along with a healthy diet and regular exercise, DHEA may help you
you to be more active and healthy and reduce abdominal fat.

If you think DHEA might help you look and feel your best, be sure to buy a properly made, pharmaceutical grade, bioidentical DHEA supplement cream—instead of an oral DHEA pill. Our bodies process DHEA in the skin. So DHEA cream Twist 25 provides DHEA in the dermis right where the body uses it naturally. Apply Twist 25 DHEA cream each day the right way on thin skin and notice the benefits within a few weeks.
